While enjoying the coolness of early fall on Trail 9 of the Indiana Dunes State Park, I suddenly realized that I was being watched. Glancing to my right I spotted a deer, standing absolutely still and observing me with interest. I quickly clicked a few shots before the deer ran off deeper into the woods.
Less than a month ago, Lake Michigan was frozen solid and covered with a blanket of snow as far as the eye could see. Today, the waves are crashing against the shoreline once again. Photos to come soon.
