A Walk to Chellberg Farm

A Walk to Chellberg Farm

A visit to Chellberg Farm starts on a tree lined trail. If you just keep walking about one half mile you’ll catch a glimpse of the farmhouse. Get off the main trail a little bit and take a right to get a lovely view of the prairie, some cows, pigs and the garden. Early mornings are often filled with sunshine breaking through the fog. On this day, I happened to run into Mr. and Mrs Chellberg, all dressed in their gardening clothes as the watched over their lovely flowers, fruits, and veggies of all varieties.

Chellberg Farm is on one of several trails that are part of the Indiana Dunes National Park.

After the Rain

Morning After the Rain

After some overnight thunderstorms, a dampness hung in the air as I headed out to the trails at the Indiana Dunes National Park. Spent a little bit of time at the garden at Chellberg Farm where the tomatoes are almost ready for picking. From there, I hiked over to the Mnoke Prairie and enjoyed glorious morning dewdrops reflecting the sunshine.
